For the second time in its history, the Krakow (Poland) hospital hosted a multi-twin birth with the birth of as many as 5 babies.
The 5 twins were born Feb. 12, to a couple consisting of a woman of Polish origin and a man of British nationality. The family of Vince and Dominika Clarke has become even larger: in fact, the 5 twins join the 7 children the couple already had.
The three girls and two boys were born by C-section at 28 weeks gestation and will now remain in the hospital for some time under observation.
For the second time in its history, the hospital in Krakow, Poland, hosted a multi-twin delivery with the birth of as many as five babies.
The 5 twins were born Feb. 12, to a couple consisting of a woman of Polish origin and a man of British nationality. The family of Vince and Dominika Clarke has become even larger: in fact, the 5 twins join the 7 children the couple already had.
The three girls and two boys were born by C-section at 28 weeks gestation and will now remain in the hospital for some time under observation, although their condition is stable. The parents named them Charles Patrick, Henry James, Elizabeth May, Evangeline Rose and Arianna Daisy.
The parent couple, who now have 12 children, met in England, where Dominika had moved for work. Six years ago they chose to move to Poland, to a house built in the middle of a forest.
Before proceeding with the cesarean section, the Krakow hospital kept Dominika under observation for ten weeks. indeed, such pregnancies must be monitored with special care and pose real challenges even for doctors. Fortunately, everything seems to have gone well for the very large family!
