Madonna forced to postpone tour due to bacterial infection

American pop star Madonna has been forced to postpone her world tour because of a severe bacterial infection that has reportedly led to her admission to an intensive care unit (speculated to be in a New York City hospital). The singer has reportedly already returned home in the meantime.

As the singer's manager has disclosed, however, Madonna is recovering from her illness and should soon be fully fit to resume preparations for an 84-date tour.

The tour was to start on July 15 from the Canadian city of Vancouver and end on January 30 in Mexico City.
