Bruce Willis health condition has unfortunately deteriorated. This was officially announced by the Hollywood star's own family in a long post on social media.

Last year it had been reported that Bruce Willis suffered from aphasia, a speech disorder. Today the family has received a more precise and updated diagnosis: the actor has front-temporal dementia. This is a disease that affects nerve cells, causing damage and preventing the brain from performing its normal functions.

In the same spirit we wanted to give you updates regarding our beloved husband, father and friend as we now have a greater understanding of what he is experiencing."

Speaking on behalf of the family is Emma Heming, the actor's wife: "Since being diagnosed with aphasia in the spring of 2000, Bruce 's condition has changed and we now have a more precise diagnosis: front-temporal dementia."
