Actress Emma Watson became world famous thanks to the character of Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter film saga.
Not only that, but the British actress has also become known over the years for her political and social engagement, which led her to make a speech in front of UN representatives on the safety of women.
For five years now, however, Emma Watson has not acted in a film. The last time was in Greta Gerwig's Little Women, shot in 2018. In a very recent interview, the actress revealed the reason for this choice.

For five years now, however, Emma Watson has not acted in a film. The last time was in Greta Gerwig's Little Women, shot in 2018. In a very recent interview, the actress revealed the reason for this choice.
Interviewed by the Financial Times, Emma Watson revealed that she left the film set five years ago because she did not feel happy in the profession and felt a bit caged in.
The actress said: 'What I found really difficult was having to go out and sell something that I really didn't have much control over. It was difficult having to be the face and spokesperson for things that I wasn't involved in the process of creating".
Emma Watson also added: "I was held accountable in a way that I found really frustrating, because I had no voice to respond. And I started to realise that I just wanted to stand in front of things where if someone criticised me, I could say 'yes, I messed up' but it was my decision and I should have done better."
